SP4 James R Barbee

Date of Death: 2021-10-01

Early this morning I received a call from Ranger Tracy Hickman breaking the news of my old Ranger Buddy and B Tm FIST teammate Ranger James R Barbee passing.

Randy and I served together on “B Team FIST” in “1st BN RANGER 75th INF“ for almost 4 years (1981-84) and deployed on numerous training exercises and to Grenada during “Operation Urgent Fury” in October of 1983.

Randy was a good Ranger and friend, easy going, funny and well liked and thought of among his peers.

We were good friends during our time in 1/75 but sadly had lost contact until a couple years ago. Though we hadn’t spoken in a while, today the world seems different just knowing my old friend Ranger Barbee is no longer in it.

Rest easy Ranger.

Until Valhalla…. RLTW
