Ranger Tradition

No matter which Battalion or Company a Ranger is assigned to serve with, his unit forms the man to the fighting force, and forms the fighting force with the men.

Most family members are never this close. Most other human associations pale in comparison to this continual formation of a strong emotional and intellectual bond.

The traditions learned, and newly invented sometimes, and the lore of Rangers past are the foundation for this brotherhood.

Every day is spent in honing the skills and maintaining the edge, with the fireteam, squad, platoon.

In Ranger School, even those that do not serve with a Ranger unit get to experience this brotherhood and skill set.

Patrolling, Raid and Ambush become the missions and objectives for these select few.

Ranger Tradition is constantly evolving and adapting to the modern world, of course.

Its solid roots in the history and blood of our Nation are the past, and the future of Ranger Tradition is made by the modern Ranger each day.
