Served with Doc in 3/75 and will never forget him. Level headed, kind and a straight shooter. Still remember him working on me and smiling while I was in pain calling me a pussy with that Doc Muralles style. It was a pleasure to have known him, and served with him. RIP Ranger buddy.

Received this message, posting verbatim:
"This Saturday will be the ninth anniversary of Operation Red Wings. I was involved in the mission and escorted the remains of the 16 men killed on the downed 47 back to Dover. The reason that I am sending you this message is to see if you would share the memorial page of my friend, SFC Marcus Muralles on your page.

He spent most of his career with 3rd Ranger Battalion as a medic and part of his second enlistment as an infantryman. His accomplishments were many, including a combat jump into Afghanistan and another into Iraq.

He died as a Night Stalker medic, but contributed quite a bit to the JSOC medical community. He was killed in the attempted rescue of Michael Murphy's team."

While I did not know SFC Muralles I appreciate what he did for me/us. I have made him the HERO of the Month on the Iraq War Monument website. The Iraq War Monument honors all living, wounded and deceased veterans from both Iraq Wars, 1991, 2003-2011.
