Sgt. Bradley S. Crose

SGT Bradley S. Crose, assigned to the 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment was killed in action in the defense of his country during Operation Anaconda outside Gardez, Afghanistan on March 4, 2002.
Bradley was a patriot who died in the defense of his country and in the company of his fellow Army Rangers. Bradley was born on August 4, 1979 at the Naval Hospital, Orlando, FL into a Navy family and tradition.
He joined the Army in June 1998 two weeks after graduating from Orange Park High School. He attended Basic and Infantry training, Airborne School, Ranger Indoctrination training and Ranger School at Ft. Benning, GA. He was ultimately assigned to Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA.
Bradley gave his life to the Lord at a young age while attending Orange Park Assembly of God and in his mid-teens became a member of Pinewood Presbyterian Church where he was active in youth activities and the study of Theology. Scheduled for discharge from the Army in October 2002, Bradley planned on attending College, restoring his 1981 Corvette and hiking the Appalachian Trail.
He held a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do where he won a Bronze Medal in the Junior Olympics, was a runner-up at both the Florida and Georgia State Championships and fought in the Mens National Tae Kwon Do Championships in Houston, TX at the age of 15.
He was an avid Gator fan and enjoyed reading classic novels. Bradley is survived by his mother, Sheila Maguhn; step-father John Maguhn; his father Ricky Crose; step-mother Diana Crose; his brother and best friend Aaron Crose; his step-sister Hannah Higginbotham; grandparents, Corrie and Wirt Avret, James H. and Rebecca Wright Sr., John and Audrey Durst, Jim and Pat Nearhoof and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
